Athletic Development Training

Competitive Edge Hockey Specific Exercise

Our hockey specific athletic development training is an age-differentiated protocol that builds muscles (when age appropriate), balance, body control and quickness that a hockey player needs to dominate on the ice.

We offer a variety of workouts that build critical core and leg strength as well as hockey specific strength in other areas of the body. Expect to work on single legged strength and the stability muscles around joints. You’ll perform a lot of exercises at high speeds which will help you to be fast instead of “strong-but-slow”.

For our younger players, this station features lots of bodyweight type exercises to ensure appropriate development. When they reach the age where their body is ready to build muscle mass, weight lifting will be incorporated to develop raw strength.
